Defense Security Service industrial security
reviews/inspections
The rating a company's security program receives during a review/
inspection by the Defense Security Service can have substantial
ramifications for its business—either positive or negative. The most
commonly assigned rating of Satisfactory logically has little impact on
current or future business. But a rating of Marginal or Unsatisfactory
can imperil the company's facility security clearance and its current and
prospective contracts. Conversely, a rating of Commendable or Superior
can enhance a company's chances of winning classified contracts.
We can perform an audit of your security program to help you prepare for a
review by the Defense Security Service in accordance with the National
Industrial Security Program and its operating manual (NISPOM). We can
also help your organization to quickly fix its security program after receiving
a rating of Marginal or Unsatisfactory.
